A letter delivered to the Association by Victorian Chief Allied Officer Donna Markham has indicated that remedial massage and myotherapy will not be opening more widely when metropolitan Melbourne enters the Second Step of its Roadmap to Recovery, which is due to occur on 28 September 2020. Full details will be released by the Department of Health, hopefully in the coming days, and the Association is currently advocating on behalf of members to be able to treat clients.
According to the letter, from 28 September 2020 remedial massage therapists and myotherapists will still only be able to treat clients if they are on an endorsed care plan and their condition is considered critical.
